Also, have her drink lots of water. Dehydration can cause contractions.

I use an herbal combo called Carry On made by trilight herbs. It works really good!! The mom also needs to take it easy till her cramps stop. There is no danger of preterm unless she is dilating or effacing. If she is doing neither, it's probably strong braxton hicks which are fine to have.
