Re: [Everything doTERRA] Infected thumb

I would suggest Melaleuca topically and 4 drops each of lemon, melaleuca and oregano in a capsule to fight the infection internally. I would also suggest the foot soak (I know its the thumb) it will draw out toxins and help with the pain (Really!).

A little over a week ago I had an infection on my thumb where I had pulled a hangnail. I ended up going to the doctor and having it cut open and drained. I tried oils first, but by the time I started them it had progressed so quickly the pain was out of control, and I was desperate. Anyway, it's better, but it still hurts pretty bad. I was reading in the Modern Essentials book trying to decide what I could use on it to speed up the healing process. The problem is I can't decide which category it falls under.

From what I read, I'm thinking at the very least Lavender and Melaleuca. I only have what comes in the Family Physician kit other than a Lemongrass sample. I'm out of On Guard, Deep Blue and a couple others. I did just open a box of the trio oils that I had been saving to use as a give-a-way or something because I was out of Lavender and burned my OTHER thumb on the oven later in the evening the same day I went to the doctor. So I have plenty of Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon. But any other suggestions on what to do to control the pain and speed up the healing are much appreciated.

Thanks!
Shannon
