[Everything doTERRA] Re: 16 yr old ~ symptoms of stroke?

About 16 years ago, my brother went missing for about 24 hours. He
was a late teen, and was getting into some trouble. When he came
home, he was confused, his speech was disturbed, and he keep repeating
the same words/phrases. After a barrage of tests, hospital visits,
the doctors said the EXACT same thing. Lesions on his brain, and they
didn't know. They said it looked like he had experienced some kind of
hypoxic event where his brain was without oxygen for a period of
time. They said it looked consistent with the brain scans they see in
carbon monoxide poisoning.

I assume the hospital would have tested for carbon monoxide poisoning
and probably given a toxicology screen?

Although parents don't want to hear the possibility, and mine
certainly did NOT, the rest of us concluded that in our situation, my
brother had tried some drugs that had probably caused some sort of
overdose, and thus reduced the oxygen to his brain for a while,
causing brain damage.

From that experience, he lost all short term memory retention. He
could remember anything/everything from before that day. Nothing
after. After lots of doctors and lots of tests, his brain slowly
repaired itself somewhat. But, he still has issues with short term
memory retention. He has learned to "play it off" and how to hide
it. He has learned to adapt and take notes. It's not AS bas as it
was in the beginning. But, it has really handicapped him throughout
his life.

We didn't have the oils back then. My mom tried vitamins and herbs.
I wish we had these tools to try back then, however. If we had, I
think I would have tried the LLW and Frankincense, as was suggested
above. Any of the oils that are known for crossing the blood brain
barrier make sense to me. They could help oxygenate the brain. But,
in our case the results were irreversible. I remember our fear and
sadness when this happened to my brother, and I feel for this family.

Please update us on their situation. It would be amazing if they find
something to help. God Bless.
