Lavender is amazing on burns!! I would dilute it with fractionated coconut oil before you apply it. Even some of the most gentle oils can burn in certain situations. I had a huge gash of my finger and applied lavender around the cut but a little seeped in and it stung a bit and now I dilute anything for open skin. Also, I don't recommend ever applying oils directly into an open wound but around it. For me if the area got red, hot to touch, smells bad or seeps I personally would be concerned.

My daughter burned the inside of her calf on the motorcycle exhaust pipe. She kept it iced for over 24 hours. This morning it has blistered. I am going to mix up a spritz of melaleuca and frankincense, but not sure how much and should we mix it in water or coconut oil or use it full strength. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't figure out how to include a picture from my phone.
