there are also glass bottles that have silicone sleeves on them. AromaTools has them. Perhaps management at your father's work would be open to this option. It protects the glass so it is less likely to shatter.
 
There is always something....a little while ago I read how some stainless steel products coming out of China are radioactive because some metals used in the steel came from Chernobyl. It was easier to sell the radioactive product than to actually be responsible in keeping helping the environment. I  guess my suggestion, is to take your Geiger counter with you when going to shop for stainless steel products. ha ha.
