Cypress! This oil is usually recommended for grief and transition. There are many others that can help too. Frankincense, rose, citrus oils. Muscle testing is a good idea, but even just letting her smell oils and use what she is drawn too. What makes her feel better. Aroma can so quickly have an impact on our brain and emotions. The AromaTouch Technique would be an amazing tool for this as the body can get so out of whack during a period of intense grief and stress.
As someone who was widowed young I commend you for reaching out and offering the oils as a source of comfort to your friend & co-worker. So many people are so unsure of what to say or do that they avoid and then it can be even more isolating for the person. Best wishes for you both.
