[Everything doTERRA] Stiff muscle and tendon, scar tissue, car accident

My husband was in a serious rollover a year ago, June 12. He now walks on the ball of his foot that took a lot of injury. He has had 2 braces to try and stretch the muscle and tendon to relax so he can put down his heel. (The ortho surgeon tried to straighten it out during surgery on his knee and it wouldn't move) He still uses a knee/leg brace, but not for long periods of time because it hurts and he doesn't have time it sit with his leg up. He has water therapy and regular physical therapy about 2xs a week and then tries to get to therapy and the pool on his own also once a week. 4xs a week total. He is almost out of visits with PT. They let him use the equipment now, so nice!

My mom gave him some lavender and he has been using it for about a week to help him relax and get to sleep. He has also started taking melatonin this last week. He has slept better.

I guess there must be a lot of scar tissue and I know it is very tough. He had a lot of wounds and 2 broken bones in this leg. He went to the wound clinic a lot and had hyperbaric treatments. He has been seeing an orthopedic surgeon ever since the accident. I am going with him on Aug 7.

Any advice how to loosen the muscle and tendon on the back, bottom portion of his lower leg?
Thank you,
Brenda
