Hi,I have had depression for 18 years. When pregnant I get ant-inatal anxiety and depression. My last pregnancy was so severe that I was hospitalised twice for the anxiety and my son was induced 3 weeks early so that I could come back to sanity. I also had PND on top of the ususal depression. I was taking the top doses of three different medications for the depression and anxiety, and my doctors were talking about adding another one when I discovered doTERRA. (I tell you this for background).Still taking all three, I started:2 -3 drops of Frankincense under my tongue twice a dayBalance on my wrists four plus times a day and as I needed itCitrus Bliss in the diffuserFrankincense in the diffuserLLV (The LLV makes a big difference!)Vetiver, Lavender, Serenity, Balance at nightI felt better, and told my dr that I wanted to try reducing one of the meds. He agreed, as long as I was prepared to go back if I needed to.I have since stopped two of the three meds. I have one to go, but as it's the one I have been taking for the chronic depression, and for such a long time, it will happen when it does.My drs are still not totally convinced, but as I am coping for the most part, they are willing to let me do it.I notice when I don't do everything I need to, and if I miss a time because it's too hard with the kids at that point, I have to force myself back into using them. IT is still a struggle, but I am feeling much better, and I am not stoned all of the time. The point of this long ramble is that, yes, she can take the oils and supplements with the meds. As she feels better (however long that may be), she can talk to her drs about reducing the doses.I know there is a website that lets you check the med interaction with the oils, but I can't remember what it is at the moment. Perhaps someone else has it?Wish her lots of strength from me. Use some yourself, and to her partner. Mental illness is a bugger, but can be managed with lots of love, support and oils. Make sure she knows that it's okay to come off and go back on the meds as often as it takes. She just has t do the best she can with what she has at the time.Love,Pol
