I am a cancer survivor of 9 years now, and while I didn't have chemo I did have radiation and I understand how paranoid the doctors are about not taking anything that might interfere with the treatment. Well the chemo/radiation treatments are all about killing all the bad cells, but they also kill good cells along the way which is why people get so sick. Since joining doTERRA, and given my personal background, I have collected a number of cancer protocols that range from those that are very detailed to those that are simpler because we now have DDR Prime which contains most of the oils in the more complex protocols.
Remember that DDR Prime does two things, it kills the damaged cells in our bodies, and then it has the healthy cells reproduce more healthy cells without being damaged/mutated by free radicals. So essentially DDR Prime is doing the same thing that chemo and radiation are intended to do but without the terrible side effects.
Typical protocol for someone with an active problem:
LLV daily
DDR Prime 6 to 8 capsules per day (Dr. Hill reaffirmed this at the east coast regional conference a few weeks ago)
Frankincense, topically, everywhere! Applied every 2 hours to bottom of feet, the spine, and on the skin over the problems areas (brain, liver, breast, lung, etc.).
I have attached two files, but I have more if you'd like.
The first is a simple comment posted by someone in a doTERRA FB group in April regarding a situation with chemo.
The second is the transcript of a recorded conference call by Bebe McFall whose mom was sent home in Dec 2012 with stage 4 cancer (lung, spine, rib, hip, pelvis, shoulder, etc.) and Bebe used the cancer protocol on her mom. As of late May, 2013, her mom is now up and around, gardening, and went on vacation a few weeks before. She still takes LLV and 6 to 8 DDR Prime capsules per day, along with topical frankincense, and feels wonderful.
So, for your friend...yes, use what you can, the above protocol would be a wonderful beginning. In addition, she could set up a diffuser to put on guard in the room, plus oils for her cold/cough.
For me, I had a lumpectomy 9 years ago and then 8 weeks of radiation. They told me back then that if I had a reoccurrence that I would have to have a mastectomy because even 10 years out (and it's now been 9), that about 90% of the radiation would still be in my body! That's pretty scary! Plus, because I had so many questions about the kind of radiation treatment they were doing to me, my radiation oncologist gave me a couple of articles from the International Journal of Radiation Oncology thinking it would shut me up I guess. I took them home, read and underlined them, and took them back with questions! Needless to say, he didn't expect that. The point---in the articles it actually referred to radiation as "poison." So I was literally being poisoned for a few minutes every day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks. If I had doTERRA back then you can be sure I would have been using the oils/products as much as possible to counteract the damage of the "poison."
Yes, again, to all your thoughts of oils to help her, Peppermint, Breathe, Flu bomb, frankincense (of course) and lavender. Bebe was initially using 1-1/2 bottles of frankincense each week because the cancer was everywhere in her mom, so they put it on her skin most everywhere.
Blessings to you,
Liz
