My friend's 7 y/o was admitted back into Children's Hospital on
Friday. As of today, Monday, he is still there and we still do not
have a clear diagnosis. They will be doing another CT scan this
afternoon and hope that repeating this test will show something they
could not see when the test was done on Tues. The doctors (and there
are MANY) are fearful that appendicitis will be missed so they keep
checking for that.
Here's the interesting thing...there is a virus that they are starting
to see (just this past week), one of the cases is another Pediatric
patient, that presents all the signs of an appendicitis but is viral.
They have done ultrasounds (3), x-rays (3) and many blood tests and
remain unclear as to what is causing Ajay's pain. He is limping badly
and is not able to put any pressure on his right leg. An orthopedic
doc was called in for that and has not found any issues with his hip
or leg. Please pray that we have answers soon.
I have a nursinng background and I've never heard of anything like
this. Should I go with a staph protocol, viral, muscle? I'm truely
at a loss.
