RE: [Everything doTERRA] Knee inflammation

Lemongrass is amazing.  What is nice is that it is so inexpensive for being such a potent oil.  Definitely you should have that in the mix.  I also have had good success with helichrysum and marjoram – also frankincense.  (I have heard White Fir is poor man’s frankincense.)  I too was going to suggest birch.  We are thinking the same here.  ~Debbie

Hey Dave & Kerry,

Did you have a meniscus tear ? If not, what was the reason for the scope ?

Personally, I stay away from anything anti-inflammatory from the doctors/ OTC and that includes staying away from ice if I can. The inflammation is part of your bodies natural healing process. Since white tissue has little or no blood flow, it's the inflammation that brings the building blocks (the material) to repair that tissue. They're called fibroblasts and this creates a "pea soup" around the injury to initiate the healing process.

What has worked best for me is lemongrass, clove, helichrysum, white fir and marjoram.  It has helped me from having to go through a complete knee reconstruction. You may also want to try birch a try instead of wintergreen. Layering peppermint last should help if the injury isn't too deep inside the knee.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Hope that helps.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Kombucha Tea + Ginger + Lemon

Wow! I never thought about that. I knew it has alcohol, it is on the
label of the one I buy. Thanks for the headsup. Well it certainly
wouldn't be good for you if you overindulge. Wouldn't you have to
drink a lot to get actually get drunk or buzzed or whatever one would
be going for. Interesting! And I was teasin' about getting hooked.
I usually buy 2 or 3 whenever I go to the health food store. And I
cringe at paying $3 per bottle.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Knee inflammation

Deep Blue and Peppermint or Frankincense and Deep Blue or Helychrysum and Peppermint,
also Marjoram is great for the muscle around the knee. There are a plethora of oils you can
use, be intuitive and you will use the one best for you.
Good Luck,

I had the same problem at first.  So I took 1/2 in the morning and the other 1/2 at night, and with food.   That solve that problem,  But now that my body is use to the  I have no problem taking them when-ever and as many as I want.   The body has to adjust to all that great nutrition.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Teething baby

Yes ,I have put onguard with a little coco oil in the palm of my hand and rub on the gums with my finger. It works great my son was cutting 3 teeth at one time. They may make a funny face because of the taste but after that he was perfectly fine. You can use clove also just remember to dilute even put a little coco oil on their lips just for extra protection.

Type 1 is Insulin dependent but I really think that LLW would be great for

[Everything doTERRA] Kombucha Tea + Ginger + Lemon

Is anyone on here into Kombucha tea? I love it and I have a pretty
expensive habit. It is not cheap. I am seriosly thinking about
purchasing a mother online and brewing my own. Except I'm too freaked
out about buying it from someone that I don't know (do they brew w/
their animal in their lap, do they clean their house, are they
drinking out of it). I have just learned I can make my own scoby
(simbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast) off a bought bottle of
unpastuerized kombucha tea. Some have made their own tea for over 20
years. So why I'm posting all that here is to see:

Has anyone made their own kombucha tea and put our ginger and lemon in
for flavoring?

If you don't know what kombucha tea is, google it and go get some from
your nearest health food store and then once you are hooked...maybe we
can figure out together how to incorporate oils. And start out slow,
it is very detoxifying. I have only tried a couple different brands
and now I'm really intriqued my making my own and using oils to
flavor.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Discussion on the-master-cleanse

I googled Master Cleanse to find "adding anything to the Master Cleanse, especially solid food, will reduce the fasting aspect and lessen the results." (when asked about taking supplements.)  And . . .

Peter Glickman and/or his book on The Master Cleanse, Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days say "I also strongly recommend you take probiotics AFTER you finish breaking your cleanse to replace the good bacteria you lose when you clean your colon thoroughly. These good bacteria manufacture vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B12, and K and help control bad bacteria, such as Candida. By the way, don't waste your money taking probiotics during the cleanse. They'll just get washed out. Do it after the cleanse."

The only thing that I've taken while on the Master Cleanse are daily prescriptions required by my physician (i.e. my thyroid meds.) We're coming into citrus season here in Arizona (and California) and I always find it to my advantage to do this cleanse the first of January (after all the holiday eating.)  I find after the first few days the only thing that makes it hard is the HABIT of eating (or having to fix food for others-forget that!)  I've even thought about doing a quick 10 day cleanse later this week after all the turkey sandwhiches, turkey soup and turkey enchiladas are gone. (Yum! ;)

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Teething baby

I also run my finger on the outside of the bottle for grandbabies. The oil disinfects itself and you don't get too much oil in the babies mouth, which sometimes they do not like. If you do put a drop on your finger then rub your fingers together so you don't get so much in the babies mouth.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Teething baby

Myrrh worked very well for my nephew.  Dripping a drop onto mom's finger, then rubbing along gums.  As a suggestion, this might be a preferred way to use the oils (as opposed to touching inside of cap or reducer on the bottle), in order to maintain the purity of the remaining oil in the bottle.

Maybe you can set up the artificial Christmas tree in the backyard or decorate the existing outdoor trees.
Buyers want to feel a warm feeling when they are purchasing a home and what is warmer and more happy than a Christmas tree and decorations.

I am in the same boat of asking my 7-year old daughter to ask for only one thing and not using my credit cards. Life has been very different this past year- from never worrying about money to constantly worrying about money has become my life since my income has dropped 7 times (due to economy and changes in my market).

I am being creative in every sense of the word to keep the spirits up and creating more ways to make income.

It's just the two of us, so it will be easy not to overspend this year on Christmas.

I pray to God we all get through this tough time.

Happy Holidays everyone!

So this year there will be no tree, no decorations, none of my snowmen I've collected over the years. Plus because I'll be buying a new condo there isn't going to be the extra money ( and absolutely no credit card purchases) for presents. This year we'll have our stockings, my youngest daughter' favorite thing and a few gifts. But most importantly we'll have each other. And instead of feeling sad we'll concentrate on the

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Discussion on the-master-cleanse

Yes to your question, the only criteria would be to take the LLW at breakfast
and the GX assist after breakfast.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] sarcoidosis and autoimmune diseases

The oils in the GX Assist are specifically to help with all auto immune diseases.
Ten days a month of GX followed by five days of PB Assist will get you on the
right path for wellness. Adding the LLW pack to this regiment assures that
your body can get the proper nutrition. Dr. Hill did suggest that you take the
GX assist at a different time than the LLW. It can be the same morning, just wait
about 30 minutes betweeen.

Sarcordosis is a chronic disease of unknown cause that is characterized by
the formation of nodules resembling true tubercles in the lymph nodes,
lungs, bones and skin also called Boeck's Sarcoid. A nodule is a small mass
of rounded or irregular shape as a small abnormal knobby protuberance. A
tubercle is a small lump in the skin or on a bone.

In my opinion the key for help in this condition is to rid you body of toxins. The
skin can become the dumping ground for toxins and doing the GX cleanse is a
great tool for ridding you body of these toxins. A topicall application of Frankincense,
Geranium and or lavender or oils that will help topically.
Also think about taking a few drops of OnGuard under the tongue throughout
the day, that will help to purify the blood.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sweet potatoes doTERRA Style

Saw your answer in another post. Put the toothpick in the bottle and
what comes out is a "toothpick full". Thanks again, looking forward to
trying this out.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sweet potatoes doTERRA Style

This looks fantastic! Thanks.

Forgive my cooking ignorance, but what is a "toothpick full". Is that
a tip dipped in oil or the whole thing dipped or something else?

Jan Martinez in Florida

5 to 6 large sweet potatoes steamed and skinned
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg yoke/no white
1 pkg. pistachio pudding mix
1/2 cup brown sugar or substitute with agave or stevia
1/2 cup eggnog/plain
1drop cinnamon bark doTERRA EO
1 toothpick full clove doTERRA EO
3 drops Wild Orange doTERRA EO
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
you can also add 1 toothpick full. ginger EO if you like that seasoning

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Whip together till smooth.(You will have pistachio's, tho). I also take the smallest sweet potatoe and keep it out of the mix, then slice it up and put in the bowl after all has been whipped together, if you like chunky sweet potatoes. Otherwise mix it all together. Pour into a buttered 8 by 10 casserole dish and top with mini marshmallows. Cook at 350 for half an hour. Takes about 45 min. for sweet potatoes to cook and steam.

This is the first time I've shared this recipe. Let alone publishing it here. So I hope you all like this. It's our family favorite.
Merry Christmas!

[Everything doTERRA] Aromatouch and New Mom

Hi Everyone!
I have been so quiet on the list lately! I've been working as a post
partum doula for a dear friend and it has kept me busy :D I love it! I
just had to share my experience with AT... I've been using it with
this new mom, and WOW it has really made a big difference. Its
wonderful for me as well as I am using these oils everyday! In just a
month of working on good nutrition, supporting herbs, and AT, this new
mom's health has greatly improved and she is feeling more like herself
again. I am so grateful for these oils!
I'm going to be teaching an AT class on December 3 and am really
looking forward to sharing the technique.

Love, Julia

Remember to count your blessings and that you have done the same thing to people at one point or another. so love your neighbor and treat them as you would like to be treated. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. Without his birth, we would all be dead. we are all brothers and sisters. so remember that when someone is rude or mean this holiday and smile instead and watch how they transform and how you feel after...trust me it will make things more calmer, less stress. we dont live in perfect but we can do all things in Christ who gives us the strength to do it.

To STAY grounded during the holidays, you must BE grounded to begin with.

My brother was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma this time last year and has endured a year of chemotheray and raditaion and it worked. He is getting stronger everyday and we our whole family is embracing this life with more gratitude than ever before. Thank you God for our time together, every moment is a gift.

To honor my brother and all those who have fought and are fighting blood cancer, I am running the ING Half Marathon on March 21, 2010. If you have a family member who is battling or has battled blood cancer, please send me their name. email - abergin@thecouponizer.com - Subject Line: Amy, run for ...
I will write their name on a ribbon attachd to my race number. While ribbons for those who have passed away and purple ribbons for survivors.

Favorite Christmas Treat

Posted by: "susan janser" ladyinthcontry@sbcglobal.net   luvssunshinesue

Fri Nov 27, 2009 7:08 am (PST)

My favorite Christmas treat is Cherry Cheese Pie. My mother used to make it every Christmas. It's made into a pre-made piecrust. You bake that then it's a mixure of cream cheese, instant pudding mix and cherrypie filling. It's GREAT! As my Mom got older she couldn't make it anymore. One Christmas Eve my brother invited my Mom and me and my daughters to dinner. I made Mom's pie and brought it with us. My brother was extremely happy to see the pie. As he praised Mom for being able to make the pie a slow smile appeared on her face. "Your sister made the pie, not me" She said proudly.  At first he didn't believe her but as he ate it he said "You taught her well Mom. It tastes just like yours"  I have made the pie every Christmas since. And now with my Mom gone its another way for us to remember her through the Holidays. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hi there, yes our fav christmas treat is strawberry cheesecake... this is very easy to make. Just mash up some cookies, warm them in a little butter, press them into a cake tin, allow to cool, in a separate dish, melt some strawberry flavour jello ,jelly with half the water needed, and make up the rest with some cream cheese, and sugar to taste. once the jello has melted fully, gently spoon the jello mixture on the biscuit base, and allow to set in fridge top shelf for about two hours, i usually top with tinned strawberrys sliced in half, and some aerated cream. Enjoy!
