If the bright lights are in a zig zag line, this is a type of migraine. I have them occasionally, but they do not usually leave me with a headache.

I'm talking about a bright flash of light followed by a ton of floaters. This is a sign of retinal detachment. Since I have an increased risk if this my eye doctor has been telling me about what to watch out for.
