Since Lavender is considered gentil enough to be used near in a baby and in really is a big gun against gas I like the idea of that on a babies tummy. When I was brand new in doterra b4 there were videos of classes. I listened to a recording of a class where DigestZen was used diluted of course on the bottom of the feet of a very colicky baby right after the baby nursed and the baby stopped crying and went to sleep. The mother then used this on her baby 1 time a day for 6 weeks and the babies body was able to resolve the colic.
There are some children where gas is an issue who are "Chamomile Kids" homeopathicly speaking. The personality very much goes with 1 or both ruddy red cheek (I forget which) when agitated. They ask for things and then refuse them and are inconsolable when agitated. If this describes your grand baby then the Roman Chamolie suggestion would be what Id try early on.
