[Everything doTERRA] Re: asthma and oils...need help ASAP!!!!

I tend to not respond the same to the things 90% of other people seem to (eg Breathe, PastTense, etc.) --  and I use Lime for my asthma.  I heard Dr Hill speak about it once and he said Lime was an extremely high anti-mucolytic.  Once you've had an asthma attack, or if your lungs are reacting in full swing, there is a high amount of mucous produced clogging the bronchioles and making it difficult to breathe.  I only have mild asthma, so I'm not sure about the scarring your friend has and if it would help, but breathing Lime immediately relaxes my lungs.  I also rub it over my lungs on my chest, on the reflex points on my feet, and finish by dabbing it under my nose in the morning before I'm exposed to my triggers.  I've found it makes a huge difference in decreasing the mucous and helping to stop the spasms.  Put a hot beanbag over the Lime on her chest to drive it into the tissues and help relax the lungs.

I also drink extremely hot water -- to the point it just barely burns my tongue -- when I'm having an attack or feel it coming on.  That's a trick I learned overseas and it's been huge in relaxing the spasming muscles in my chest, as well.

Good luck to your friend.  I hope you can help her find some relief!
