You do not have to wait more that a few seconds to layer the oils as they are absorbed quite fast. Layer FCO (fractionated coconut oil) on top of oils when done if you need dilution. For babies and children add the oil to the FCO prior to applying. For some oils adding a certain one will help the others be more effective. I do not know a lot about blending/mixing and I am sure others will chime in but you need to be careful when you make your own blends as you mess with the chemical make up of the individual oils you are mixing. You will also alter the constituents of the oils which can cause them to be less effective and even cause a bad reaction. I am working on learning more about what blends will with what but the Modern Essentials book is a great place to start.

Wondering about mixing oils ex:ones for hair loss, flu bomb, allergies, etc. I know when we do oils topically you're suppose to wait a little bit between oils, if you're using more than one. Does mixing up the oils cause them not to be as affective?
