Betty,
I just found out that my 3 year old has tinea versicolor (and not a reaction/side affect from eczema, like I had thought). You said you use the melaleuca neat to treat it. Do you apply it on the affected area directly? My son has it all over his back, stomach, and parts of his arms and face - would I want to dilute it with coconut oil just to make it go further, easier? Also, how often do I need to apply it, and for what length of time? I heard that it will probably take a few months for the pigment to come back, so how will I know that its gone? What causes it (I know its a yeast), and how can it be prevented? Sorry for so many questions...your post came at an ideal time for me, and I'm sorry I am unable to answer your original question, but thanks for any advice you may have!
