[Everything doTERRA] Thrombocytopenia - low platelet count

I have a friend who 3 year old boy has low platelet count.  Even lower than his cousin with the brain tumor who is on chemo.   I have suggested onguard to help raise his immune system putting 2 drops on the feet. 
Any one with experience who can help me on what really should be done?
