Monsanto has been in the news a lot lately with their GMO wheat fields and worldwide protests against the seed company monopoly which uses excessive amounts of pesticides and herbicides in their foods. An example of this is that when a certain insect, perhaps it is a caterpillar I don't recall at this moment, eats a Monsanto corn kernel the pesticide in the corn breaks open the stomach of the bug thus killing it. Now imagine what is happening to our stomachs when we ingest these same pesticides. It is believed this is one of the causes for an increase in leaky gut. (I originally read this story on NaturalNews.com which is Health Ranger Mike Adams website.)
So with that said, I would eat non-gmo as much as possible. :0)
