[Everything doTERRA] RR Enema for Pneumonia

My husband had a bad case of the flu that started last Tuesday. All day he'd have a moderately high temp (99-101) which would spike in the evening to 103.5 or 104. Had the chills, body aches, etc. I did everything I could think of, I diffused Breath and OnGuard, put peppermint on his feet routinely, gave him capsules of melaleuca, OnGuard, frankinsense, and lemon as often as he would take them. After 3 days of this we went to the instacare and was told it was a virus so we went home. On Monday he had new and worse symptoms and discovered he had bacterial pneumonia. He immediately received an antibiotic shot and a course of xithromax and an inhaler. Now he also has cough syrup. I got him to agree to a retention enema. I filled a capsule with 4 drops each of Frankinsense, OnGuard, Peppermint, and Oregano--which was one of the options on everytingessential.me. I didn't have any Rosemary. It immediately made him "go" and he said it burned so bad. He was in the bathroom for an hour. I want him to try the syringe now but he says there is absolutely no way he will do it again. Did I do it wrong? I didn't think it was supposed to hurt... Would a syringe be less painful? I need to guarantee him it won't be awful to persuade him to do it again.
