[Everything doTERRA] Re: effectiveness of EO's depends on application technique

At conference Dr Hill said if we don't rub the oils in we only get
about 10% absorption as about 80% diffuses into the air. Remember the
quickest way to take in an essential oil is to breath it in but if you
are applying it topically you need to rub it in to maximize
absorption.

When I put it on feet I always do at least a really quick aroma touch
to get it in. I noticed with Coriander if it was just swiped on and
not rubbed in well then the relief from high sugar level are minamal
but if it's rubbed in- the patient feels significantly better by the
end of the massage even if it's quick.

The idea is you are stimulating blood flow near the surface to
increase absobtion. Otherwise the absorption rate is not as high and
since we give off heat and moisture constantly we are a natural
diffuser so there is always going to be some diffusion.

When we make a homemade Vicks or use Breath we are using the rub in &
diffuse on our skin well. We are applying it to the chest topicly as
well as it is diffusing up into the air we breath thus sodding us in
both ways.

Granted, it would be nice to have known the ratio's this whole time,
yet I'm thankful for them now. I feel blessed that more and more
information keeps coming to light to assist me to be a better healer.

Go forward with the information and be an even greater healer then you
were. You also now have another tid bit to share with your team so
they to may be even more effective.
