Re: [Everything doTERRA] heart/blood pressure meds and slim & sassy

Mindy,
If you were one of my clients, I would ask you to revisit your doctor and double check the actual dosage that s/he prescribed. It sounds like it might be off...only because the constituents that are in the rind of the citrus oils shouldn't effect you in that way. The peppermint however, may be the culprit. It is a stimulant that can, but doesn't have to, cause some side effects with heart patients.

I would also suggest that you start building your blood with a good supplement- and while I LOVE the doTERRA ones- I would suggest a really good "green" herbal one. The greens in it will build the body, specifically the blood, the heart, and the cell walls. And, I would get some Hawthorne berry syrup. It is a specific food for the heart and it won't effect your medication in a negative way. While using these, though, I would go for dosage re-checks every so often, as your heart will get stronger and you will more than likely need less medication.

I hope that provides some help. It can be quite a big step to go on medication, so be gentle with yourself, and trust that when given the correct tools, the body really can heal itself. All the best! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
