Lavender is cheaper. We use about 1 to 2 tbs coconut oil to 1 drop lavender. Really u don't need lavender. We use regular coconut oil though. Haven't tried the fractionated kind. I would say after 4 to 6 hrs reapply. However we really never have to. Just put it on 10 to 15 mins b4 u go in sun. Also in the beg of summer u may still pink a little until skin gets used to sun
