Don't you love the new oils? I am having so much fun experimenting with all of
them. I gave a women a sample of Melissa the other day, her husband is suffering
from Lyme disease and I had him put a drop of Melissa and a drop of OnGaurd under
his tongue. He muscle tested well for it so I am anxious to see how he did.

RE: [Everything doTERRA] pnemonia

I don’t know if this will help, but I will share anyway.  Last Wed. I sent my 9 yr. old son to school perfectly fine.  By 12:30 he was coughing up a storm and I got a call to come and get him from school. I brought him home and in a couple of hours he had a fever of 102 and was breathing fast with a wheezing sound in each breath.  He was not feeling good!!!!  I had just heard from my friend that her son started the same way and the doctor diagnosed it as Pnemonia.  I wasn’t taking any chances.

I started with Breath, Lime and Marjoram on his chest and back (every couple hours), then I put Melissa and On-Guard up his spine (every couple hours), as well as On-Guard, Oregano, and Peppermint on his feet every hour or so.  I also had him drink water with lemon and lime (his favorite).  I had the diffuser running in his room as well.  I rotated with Eucalyptus and Frankincense and had him breathe it in when he could.  Then I would rotate On-Guard and Thyme in the diffuser.   Needless to say, it was a very long night!  We had just had an adult friend almost die the week before from pneumonia, and I’m already a ‘worry-wart’ as my hubby kindly puts it…so I slept on the floor in his room.  I gave in about midnight and gave him some Motrin to try to bring down the fever.  NOTHING worked.  All during the night he had a 101-102.5 fever!  I changed his shirt 4 times during the night from him sweating.  I was at least able to control the coughing with the oils.

By the next morning he was much better, but very tired, and still coughing a little.  Fever was down.  I continued ALL of the above throughout the day.  (Poor kid missed his Halloween Carnival!) By 3pm his fever seemed to start to go up again…so I put Peppermint and other oils on him again.  At 4:30 he fell asleep – and slept until 8pm!  When he woke up – NO FEVER, Hardly any coughing, breathing back to normal….AND energy!  Which was a problem, because I was exhausted from being up all night the night before – and now I couldn’t get him to go to sleep until past midnight!  He’s been fine ever since.    My friend who’s son was diagnosed over 2 weeks ago is still struggling with a cough – and has gone through two antibiotics.  I decided to treat it as a VIRAL infection instead of a bacterial – and I really believe the MELISSA saved us from a longer sickness. Staying on top of it throughout the night was key too.  It would have been helpful if I could have gotten him to swallow pills – but nevertheless – I am grateful for the oils.  I know they worked!

Also, crushing and chopping garlic, putting it in shortening and putting it on the bottom of the feet wrapped in plastic, then socks will work miracles. Mix the oils with the shortening at night, and you've got a winning combo!

You have a strapping 18 years old son who can probably handle these oils like

an adult.

Mix a capsule of equal drops of Oregano, Thyme and Wild Orange, take this capsule

1 every two hours. On the alternate hour put a drop of Frankincense and On Guard

under his tongue. He will tell you its nasty but tell him it will help and just do it!!

Mix some carrier oil with Marjoram, Thyme and Breathe, rub it on his chest and back

and under his nose and across the sinus area (forehead). Also put these same oils

on the bottom of his feet, 2-3 times a day.

Being consistent and aggressive will help you get in front of the problem

Anything in pill form or just topical and inhaling and how

Our grapefruit is taken from the peel and not the juice. The juice is what you
need to stay away from with blood pressure issues.
That is my understanding from what I have heard and read.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Plantar fasciitis--Please help!

Don't be confused. There are a few oils that you need to rest your body from
if you have used them consistently, the main one is Oregano. It has a tendency
to build up in your liver, because it is so potent you want to take a one week rest
from it.
Just like anything, if you use an oil consistently soon your body gets so used to
it that you may not get the results that you did at the beginning.
Rob's suggestion is good, as with anything that we use consistently, there are
times when our body needs a break.
I have been using the OnGuard when I brush my teeth every day for a year. But
a couple of weeks ago I got a sore throat. I dropped Lemon down the back of my
throat and by the next day me sore throat was gone. I took a seven day break from
OnGuard, using lemon and oregano in its place (not for my teeth), on the bottom of
my feet. And used Birch when I brushed.
I muscle tested for OnGuard yesterday and it was positive so now I am back to
using Onguard consistently.
Let your body tell you what it needs and be open to those feelings. If an oil pops in
your head you may need to use it. Pick it up smell it and muscle test!

Its pretty easy to listen to your bodies needs.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Plantar fasciitis--Please help!

Have you son lay down where his feet can be in front of you. Have the following
oils ready and a hot moist towel. With some carrier oil in the palm of you hand,
then drop some lemongrass, wintergreen and peppermint. Gently rub the oils on
the bottom of the foot and run your hands up the back of the leg. Wrap the hot
moist towel around his foot. Now pull the toes toward you with one hand over the
base of the toes so you can pull in forward, with the other hand push the heel
back. His foot will be in the position as if he had high heels on. Hold the foot
like that until the heat is gone from the moist towel. Do this to both feet it
needed.
Repeat a couple of times a day and if he can't do the pulling and pushing
at least put the oils of the feet.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Plantar fasciitis--Please help!

Plantars are difficult but not impossible.
Everyone is different. What works best for him might be the most effective for her.

Consistancy and frequency are the big things. Consider: oregano, frankincense, lemon, lemongrass, on guard. Apply neat at least 3 times daily, including just before bed time. They can actually seem to get larger after the first week or two. But you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Oils work from the inside out.

I would also do a 10 day gx cleanse.

Don't use a given oil for more than 2-3 weeks straight without a change up for at least a week. Your body begins to " get used to them".

Happy oiling. And have faith... They work!

Is grapefruit okay for someone to take that has low blood pressure? I
have heard mixed reports on this.

[Everything doTERRA] Plantar fasciitis--Please help!

My 35 year old son has had plantar fasciitis on his foot for the last
3-4 months. This condition is the inflammation of the wide band of
tissue that holds up the bones on the bottom of the foot. He still
plays basketball and football and I'm afraid he will submit to steroid
injections to relieve the pain. Because of his love for sports, I
don't see him giving it up if there is any way for him to continue
playing. Please advise me which essential oils can help him with this
problem? Thanks.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Bone Cancer Update 10/30/10

 Hi Kathy Lee,

I've been thinking about and praying for you and your family and wondering how you all were doing. Thanks for the update. I asked if I could share your story and now it's in the back of my book, Wellness Made Simple. I'm so thankful that you're willing to share because it can help a lot of people and give them hope, and confidence that doterra oils work as well as or better than medicine, even in life threatening situations. I have several friends who have been affected by cancer so I compiled everything I know about it and started sending them the information in the form of an ebook. Then Connie Higley saw it and thought it would be a good idea to print it so now my "cancer book" (and your testimonial) is available at aromatools. Thanks again for openly speaking out about your pa's experience. I'll send you a copy of my book if you send me your address :)

Wishing you much love and light!!

Kat,

I am sorry for you loss.  I know how painful it is to lose someone close.  I'm glad you found the oils to be such a help to your father and I am thankful to you for sharing your story with us.

Many of you have read some of the post about my pa and his bone
cancer.  He lost his battle with cancer on the 17th of August 2010.
He was on a large amount of Frankincense ( with great results!) until
he started a trial drug at a well known cancer hospital.  When he
began the trial drug, it worked opposite on his cancer and it spread
