Put 3 drops oregano and 2 drops lemon in 11/2 tblsp of water and gargle for as long as possible and swallow.  Do this till inflamation and pain in the throat are gone.  Every half hour if needed.  Has worked for me and many others I have recommended to.

If Oregano is too hot, sub on guard.  If you are real brave, use oregano and on guard.
