I have a teacher that puts balance on her arms and walks up and down the isles. It works wonderful to help calm the classroom down. Then it's like a perfume on her and not diffusing or putting them on kids. It's the safest option. Especially when you are traveling around and not in your own classroom

I'd be careful about even covert use of the oils around children/students. I know that since the oils contain no proteins one can't be allergic but there are oils [and their fragrances] that some can be highly sensitive too. An extremely sensitive olfactory [gland?] can mean discomfort and even distress to some. My sister loves her doTERRA oils but she has to avoid anything with patchouli because it causes her respiratory distress [yes, even the doTERRA patchouli].--So I think that it may be wise to approach the district board (rather than the individual schools) to see how to go about it so that you don't open yourself or the schools to any litigation. Crazy I know, but we live in a litigious-crazy society.Dee

Especially just being the sub some kids go a little nuts, then if their regular teacher was there. I often find myself thinking I'd like to use some oils (Balance, Serenity, etc.) but since I never know when, where or if I'll work I don't really want to drag a diffuser along (plus I don't know how that I want to have to explain to the principals at multiple schools what I am doing). So I am wondering if there is an alternative way? I've thought about just putting a few drops on the floor around the classrooms, or under certain students seats. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
