We just dealt with this. I threw lots of things at the problem so I can't say which was the most effective, but all together it worked great. Put peppermint and water in a spray bottle and spritz infested areas. You could also spritz TerraShield. Everyone had TerraShield on their feet and legs 1-2 times a day and Arborvitae on the bottom of the feet while the fleas were still visible. Vacuum well, then sprinkle Borax on the carpet and leave it for about 3 days. Lavender and Purify on bites. Washing bedding and any clothing that was left on the floor, plus trying to convince kids to keep things off the floor for a week was a pain but I think helped, too. Good luck!
