[Everything doTERRA] Vitex oil or Chase Berry for treatment of Parkinson's-

Vitex is in Solace but we don't have it as a single oil...I think DDR Prime would be helpful sice it works on a cellular level...just my opinion though:) I agree w/LLV and I would probably recommend Franki 2-3 drops in her mouth 2-3x a day...that's what I would do if it were me...I have no experience w/it though.

[Everything doTERRA] very heavy uterine bleeding

Hi All - I have a friend that has been experiencing very heavy uterine bleeding for several months now. Her biopsies were negative for cancer (thankfully). She has some fibroids but doctors don't seem to think those are causing the bleeding. She is taking progesterone but it isn't helping. She's trying to avoid surgery and is looking for some suggestions. Any help would be much appreciated! Jenny

[Everything doTERRA] The Correct Recipe for Peaceful Child

Hello, this is Deborah Gardner, the creator of Peaceful Child. I am so glad that my blend has been so helpful to so many. There are many people out there who are posting incorrect recipes (without Lavender as the 2nd ingredient). The correct recipe is actually not on line anywhere (I have searched far and wide). I just thought I should inform everyone that while the blend with the incorrect recipe is helpful, it is not nearly as strong and calming as the real blend. This is because doTERRA's French Lavender has very high calming and sedative properties. I do make and sell the blend on the official website. I just learned that I am not supposed to advertise on here, so I will not post the website, but you can google it. I would love to have everyone's support and respectfully ask that individuals do not sell the incorrect blend, but instead, contact me. I am a single mother of 5 kids and this little business helps supplement my income enough so that I can stay at home with my children. :) Also, I wanted to let everyone out there know that one of the best things you can do to help your children who have ADHD, Tourette's, Aspergers, or Autism, is to cut out foods with red dye, MSG, high fructose corn syrup, and if at all possible, white sugar. In addition, it is very important to supplement their diet with micro brain nutrients.  The doTERRA fish oil and magnesium glycinate (available on line) are 2 such essential nutrients. Here is an article about the magnesium, in regards to ADHD and Tourette's (which my son has):
I hope this information helps!!
Kindest regards,
Deborah

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Peaceful child blend and success stories

Hi Monica,

I am the creator of the Peaceful Child blend. I was just explaining to Melanie that the recipe you posted is incorrect. It will still help some, but it is not nearly as potent and calming as the real blend. I make the blend and sell it myself. If you are interested in trying it, you can order it on the official website peacefulchildblend.com. :) I would be grateful if you could direct people my way. Thank you so much! :)

Kindest regards,
Deborah D. Gardner

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Peaceful child blend and success stories

Hi, this is Deborah Gardner, creator of Peaceful Child. The recipe you are using probably isn't working because it is not the correct recipe. All of the recipes listed on here are incorrect. If you would like to try to correct blend, you can order directly from my on my website at http://www.peacefulchildblend.com/

Also, try adding magnesium glycinate to your child's diet plus doTERRA's fish oil. Children with neurological disorders need a lot of nutrient-rich brain food. Let me know if you have any other questions. I counsel a lot of parents for ADHD. You can email me at wholefamilyhealing@gmail.com. I also have a Facebook page where I post additional suggestions, if you are interested. The page is called Peaceful Child Essential Oil blend

I hope this helps! :)

Kindest regards,
Deborah D. Gardner

Re: [Everything doTERRA] slim and sassy for children

Just my two cents...1. It is hard growing up, we all are challenged by something that helps build our character. 2. We are all individuals with different body types regardless of how well we eat.

9 is a young age to be dieting especially since her diet is healthy. With my children, when they face different trials I encourage them to focus on the fact that God made them special, unique, with their own talents, strengths and even weaknesses which are actually future strengths in-the-works. Encourage her to grow in this opportunity she is now experiencing. Embrace the challenges. Life is full of challenges. It is how we approach them, how we set the habits for our life. She is still growing and developing. Her body may need those extra pounds for when she stretches out! :0)

I would recommend oils that help her be happy with herself like bergamot. I think just applying it to the back of her neck or feet is good. Diffuse it. etc.

I am sure others have other helpful tips too.

Best of luck.

[Everything doTERRA] Vitex oil or Chase Berry for treatment of Parkinson's-

Lady called me who has just been diagnosed with parkinson's--she mentioned Vitex oil for treatment. This is also called Chase Berry. Her sister is giving her Young Living oils because she cannot afford them.  I have sent her all the information from doTERRA, but she is curious about this oil.  I did find it on line, but have no idea if this is another option for her or to just suggest our supplements and oils. I told her about doTERRA beginnings, and she would like me to visit with her sister.

[Everything doTERRA] Baby breaks out in a rash a day after using OnGuard on feet and Breathe on chest

Looking for some insight on this one.  I gave some samples out to a friend and she used them on her  6-7 month old baby and the next day after using the breathe 1-2 drops on his chest, he broke out in a rash.  She had used on guard on his feet for about a week prior and then stopped using it for 2 days before the rash appeared. The rash is on his belly, back, hands, feet and head.  (See attached pictures).  It is possible that it could be due to the oils, but it could be due to something else also.  Looking forward to your feedback.  Thanks so much.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: This is from oil university

One thought I had on this topic was that when applied to the skin, it could be a reaction, possibly allergic or an intolerance, as he suggested, or possibly detox. Maybe it is more likely to be a reaction when applied to the skin vs detox, however when taken internally I may be more inclined to think it is detox vs an allergic reaction.  So the question or thought there may be, 'is there a difference in how we might interpret how the skin responds to an oil depending on how the oil is used- topically or internally'.  The nature of the oils should also be considered.  If it is a hot oils such as oregano, peppermint (for some), cinnamon, lemongrass, etc. it is more likely to cause redness, itchiness, etc. when applied  on the skin and a carrier is a wise choice.

I think it's important to keep in mind too what hormones may be coursing through our body at the time that we use or apply oils and keep into consideration that on one day we may experience a reaction (allergic or otherwise) or intolerance and another we may not.  Also distinguishing between an allergic reaction and an intolerance is important as well as recognizing that something that manifests as an intolerance may just be a warning from the body that too much could cause a more serious allergic reaction, or it may just be an intolerance (temporary or not).  For example, my daughter had an intolerance to milk- it caused her pain, and instant diarrhea, however it did not cause her face to swell up, close off her airways and have need for an epi-pen and an emergency visit as it does for my neighbor's child.

The first day I opened my oils it was Thanksgiving.  My little niece had a headache and I'd heard peppermint was a great option for that, so I hurried over to her, put peppermint all over her forehead and waited for her to feel fine.  Well, she is a fair skinned redhead/strawberry blond and immediately her head turned red, she was crying, and very uncomfortable.  It freaked her parents out and shied them away from the oils.  I was new, knew nothing, and thought I was helping.  I'm not sure if I even knew how to dilute it. Now I made a lot of errors there, and I've since learned, but point being, a spot test would have served me and her well.   She is still very sensitive to the oils because of her skin type and needs a carrier no matter what.

Just some thoughts on the subject.  I completely respect Dr. Pappas and his knowledge of the oils.  He states on his FB page that he doesn't get into how people use the oils for medicinal/therapeutic purposes (though he may use them that way for himself at home), and his area of expertise is with the chemical nature of the plants.  So it is always important to keep in mind the nature of the plant, if it may have possible reactions then that is just it's nature.  If I wanted to know more about ways to use them, or not use them for therapeutic or medicinal use, I would refer to those who use them professionally in that kind of as setting such as an wholistic practioner or wellness center.  I also find the many different forums, websites, and share sites such as these are great places to learn and research for ourselves what our choices are and judge our own personal use based on our own gathering of information and experience.

ESSENTIAL OIL MYTH #6: If you use a pure essential oil on your skin and it causes a rash or burn then its just your body detoxing.

FACT: They tell me this is a myth that quite a number of people are spreading but its hard for me to believe that there are people out there who are actually accepting this as a viable explanation. But I guess there must be a significant amount of people believing it because a number of you have asked me to address this. I suppose it comes from the desperate attempt for people to come up with some kind of positive explanation for any adverse reactions that natural products might cause us. I mean we all know that if something is natural that it must be good for us, right? Let's just think about this logically for a second. Let's imagine you rub poison ivy on your skin and you get a really bad rash. Is that just your body detoxing? Of course not. Come on people, if you get a rash or burn from putting something on your skin its because its IRRITATING YOUR SKIN. Furthermore, this "detox" explanation seems to ignore the very definition of what it means to detox. Generally, a detox reaction is a response that the body undergoes when it has something TAKEN AWAY from it. Think of the body of a drug addict "detoxifying" during the withdrawal process as he tries to get off the drugs. But in the case of using an essential oil on your skin we are ADDING something new to our bodies that your body has no prior experience with, any bad reaction could not logically be classified as a detox reaction. A rash or burn from an essential oil is basically your skin screaming at you "hey, stop that and stop it now!" This is why you should always do a patch test on a small area of skin and wait a while to see what happens before you go all crazy and start bathing yourself in an essential oil that you have not used before. I know many aromatherapist recommend that you dilute the essential oils in a carrier oil for skin use. But no matter what concentration you use them at you should still do a patch test first for any new oils before moving on with the oil. Remember these are very concentrated solutions of organic molecules, let's be safe rather than sorry.

3 drops each 3 times a day of oregano, cassia, on guard for 3 weeks then switch to
3 drops each 3 times a day of oregano, cinnamon, on guard for 3 weeks then rotate cycles until there are no symptoms for 6 weeks then start lowering the dose to
2 drops each 2 times a day of oregano, cassia, on guard for 2 weeks then switch to
2 drops each 2 times a day of oregano, cinnamon, on guard for 2 weeks then
1 drop each 1 time a day of oregano, cassia, on guard for 1 weeks then switch to
1 drops each 1 times a day of oregano, cinnamon, on guard for 1 weeks then if symptoms start again repeat the steps. If no symptoms then yea.

We are still on it because he wasn't properly diagnosed with it. Still don't know what he really has but he is much better.

[Everything doTERRA] Lime Disease

Watch Dr Hill's webinar specifically addressing Lyme Disease...it is almost 2hrs long but WELL worth the watch. I have 2 ppl on my team currently using the protocol he suggests in this webinar & they are having success. They are also about to start taking DDR in addition to the protocol.
Hope this helps!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Lime Disease

Is there a positive test result for Lyme disease?
There are several protocols. All are very invasive. There isn't really
enough data to show what works best. I have never been able to figure
out which one is the newest one. I had hoped we'd see one that had input
from Dr. Hill after DDR came out but as of yet I haven't heard of one.
While it is a bacterial infection the bacteria is a super bacteria. The
success rate of prescription antibiotics is about 30%.

I haven't read anything about that but would love to know!! I know when making hand sanitizers, I use a pinch of epsom salt. It keeps the oil from constantly separating from the distilled water.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Viking Disease

HI Janette,
Have you tried Massage Therapy? This is from my Clinical Massage Therapy book:" Dupuytrens contracture responds best to treatment when the nodules are initially noticed and the palmar (palm side of hand)skin becomes thickened and fibrosed, before flexion of the digits occurs and the palmar fascia has become severely contractured." If you can get a hold of this book it has extensive treatment plans and goals. Check the library. He must have some muscles in his arms/shoulders/neck that have some "trigger points". Find a good therapist who knows how to address this! I would think Deep Blue and Deep Blue Rub would be his friend and also wintergreen if he's not allergic Good luck!.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Do any essential oils interfere with medications?

I found the info I had read in past. It's wintergreen that can interfere with Coumadin.

"Methyl salicylate is the component to be aware of. When it is applied topically to the skin it is absorbed transdermally without any problem, quickly finding its way into the bloodstream and once there it can potentiate the anticoagulant effect of warfarin and could cause internal hemorrhage. Methyl salicylate is a component found in many liniments, however it is also found in large quantities in the essential oils of Sweet Birch (Betula lenta) and Wintergreen(Gaultheria procumbens) both of which are composed of naturally occurring methyl salicylate at around 98 – 99%. This makes it a very easy oil to adulterate by simply adding synthetic methyl salicylate. While there are those who find these oils to be very effective in sports therapy, muscle blends etc, if you must use then, do it with great care and only over very short periods of time."--west coast aromatics

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Candida cleanse pregnancy and nursing

I don't know if I missed this or I've just answered it so many times lately. I do not recommend doing cleanses while pregnant or nursing, especially GX Assist. You can add a PB Assist daily to help. I would just tackle it with diet. Eliminate white flour (even unbleached) white rice and white potatoes plus all forms of sugars. You can eliminate candida just doing diet and probiotic. It is slower but it still works.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Grandmother dementia worse after surgery

I agree with Patricia... If she had Anesthesia it can cause problems especially if her body is not methylating including dropping B12 levels in the body. If it was me, I would ask to have her homocysteine, Vitamin D levels and MMA levels checked.  Do your research as to what tests should be done because not all blood serum tests are alike. You might need to consult with a Naturopathic physician also.   But for now i would start with cilantro very slowly. Also 2 Epson salt baths a week with lavender or oils of choice...
Omega 3 is a must for the brain and nervous system. The xEO Mega has astaxanthin...
which is crucial for brain food. According to a recent article in the Alternative Medicine Review

"Astaxanthin improved cognition in a small clinical trial and boosted proliferation and differentiation of cultured nerve stem cells… Astaxanthin's clinical success extends beyond protection against oxidative stress and inflammation, to demonstrable promise for slowing age-related functional decline."

Re: [Everything doTERRA] melissa as a preventative measure???

Thank you!  So does anyone think it will be helpful in keeping these flu bugs away if used daily along with the LLV, OnGuard and Franki or would that be overkill....

I have been trying it lately just to see how it works in comparison to Melisa which I have been rubbing into the roof of my mouth under my sinuses lately for this horrible cold and sinus congestion

I have used the Melisa for two weeks its amazingly helpful.  This cold has been relentless but I'm winning

My coworker is also using it and he was very skeptical but has been won over

Sorry I digress

Black pepper seems to have the same effect placed in the same area and I did not find it to be hot at all

Perhaps for the kids you could mix one to one some FCO with a drop of black pepper and rub that into the roofs of there mouths

I have done it on my three granddaughters ages 3 to 7 other than a funny look they had no complaints

I usually let them follow that with a tiny bit of "warm" never hot honey with a drop of lemon in it on a spoon

Blessings

Ruth

So for kids, how would you use the black pepper?  I am guessing it would be a bit hot to put under the tounge...would I rub it on the bottom of the feet?  I have a 4, 8 and 11 year old....

Black pepper is supposed to be the "poor man's Melissa" according to Dr Hill. We've had great success with it killing nasty bugs when other oils wouldn't  kick it. I'd use it as a preventative too!
