[Everything doTERRA] Sore throat *from* onguard throat drops?

I have been feeling fine, but decided to suck on a throat drop because I'm working at the hospital tonight (labor and delivery). Its been a couple hours and I've had one or two drops, but now the inside left of my throat feels very swollen and sore. This is the opposite of what I was intending! Any clue why this is happening?
