[Everything doTERRA] Re: Copper Poisoning

Sunnie,

I have read that Cilantro oil is good for removing heavy metals from the body.  I know my sister took it in herbal pill form at one time for that but I do not have experience with the oils.   Another great place to start would be www.magneticclay.com.  They have some amazing clay soaks that are specific for extracting metals and other impurities from the body.

Good luck to her!

[Everything doTERRA] Testimonial: doTerra and my emotions

I've been an IPC for less than a month now, but I wanted to share my story.  I've battled depression for my entire married life (and probably before, but I didn't realize it).   I've always considered myself a strong person but no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to stop the anxiety from creeping back into my life and then the debilitating feeling of hopelessness no matter how blessed I was.   I've been an alternative medicine "junkie" for 20 years and have tried NAET, radical diet changes (vegan, GAPS, alkalizing, etc), herbs, supplements, prayer and meditation, you name it!  I am a religious person however, and I do believe this journey has been for a reason.  I've gained knowledge and understanding along the way that has helped me help others, including my immediate and extended family.

I had heard about doTerra through my mom and sister, who had been using the oils for a couple of years.  In late June I was staying with my parents when my mom and I decided to mix up a combination of Lemongrass, Frankincense and Clove http://www.everythingessential.me/HealthConcerns/Hypothyroidism.html#page=page-3 that I would roll onto my  thyroid 3 or more x's/day and on my wrist and under my big toes under both feet.   Within 2 days I recall saying to my mom, "I think I feel happier!".   And the rest is history.   I can't say YET that my hair has stopped falling out, or my joints are free of pain, or that the weight is falling off of me.  But I would pay almost any amount of money to not feel like shutting myself in my room and crying all day, every day anymore!  I used to lay in bed each morning and dread my day.  But no more.  I now have plans...BIG PLANS for my future (hint, it involves doTerra)..and all within a period of 2 short months of starting to using these oils regularly.

Since signing up, some of the things I have successfully used my new oils to do are-

Stop my husband, daughter, and son-in-law from snoring!! (Lavender on both feet at night)
Help my daughter's roommate overcome insomnia (Lavender on feet and diffused in room at night)
Make my own toothpaste and relieve some sensitive teeth issues (recipe found on everythingessential.me)
Heal my 10 year old of impetigo infection on his face (capsules of OnGuard/oregano/blackpeppe...and Lavender topically)
Immediately reduce inflammation in my shoulders (Deep Blue Rub- every hour as needed)
Helped someone with a personal addiction (smelling Purify through a vial several times/day...they said they felt it was helping)
I've also signed up my physical therapist (was in a car accident in June) and am in the process of signing two other professional offices.

I have recently handed out many a tiny bottle of sample oils so I will try to report back as I follow up with these individuals.

I thank you all for your energy, enthusiasm, and generosity in sharing.  I am from Tigard, OR and I am coming to the convention next month to learn, learn, learn, learn!
Please say "hi" if you see me!!

Yes, I am mostly breastfeeding. I just decided today to go on a diet with little to no sugar, and no dairy, and very little bread with yeast in it. I want to see if I can starve the bad bacteria.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Loyalty Rewards Discount

Hi Jan, good explanation.   However I believe dōTERRA, being a for-profit company, does make money on our wholesale orders--that is what helps pay the extra bonuses as you move up the company ladder.

You have to redeem your points over the phone. doTERRA does not take money off of what we order wholesale. The LRP is separate, in a point redemption account that they keep track of. At the top of your virtual office on the left side, it will show you the amount of points you have to redeem. You get 10% off of your first three months personal volume orders. Then 15% the next three months, then 20 the next three etc. till you reach your 13th month and then get a steady 30% of your order. Say you order 100.00pv then 10 points will be put in your accumulative LRP account. If you, at any time cancel an LRP order and don't order that month, you are brought back down to the 10% and start over. Hope that makes sense.

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Loyalty Rewards Discount

Hey-

Does anyone know how the loyalty rewards percentage discount works? I was under the impression that when signed up for the loyalty rewards program, I would be getting the percentage discount off my monthly auto-ship. I have yet to see any discount other than the wholesale pricing. I keep my PV at over 100 at all times and am I getting commission.

Thanks!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sore Muscles in Back?

LEMONGRASS! I pulled a muscle in my back last week. I used Deep Blue and a heating pad (which was great as long as I didn't move). I put lemongrass on the muscle and the next morning I was feeling much better. Used for a couple of day and the pain was gone. Good luck!

She had to offer to match the price for the gal with free shipping (not sure if the gal will do it yet).  But this doesn't earn her any money other than if she puts it on her LRP then she will earn points.

This is our first venture with setting up a business, and don't know much about the legalities. We do have a CPA we can contact, but thought we might get some "Free" advice here first! :)
Thanks in advanced!

In response to you asking how to write off the oils you USE in the business side...they are just another expense like paper, toner, pens, etc.
If you have one room you can set up to do all of your doTERRA business out of you can deduct the sq footage of that room in comparison to your total sq footage and write that off for expenses as well. You just cannot have a bed set up in there like a guest room or using a bedroom to do your work.  I'm not clear if i said the sq footage correctly...Say your house payment and taxes per month add up to $1,000 and the room you use exclusively for doTERRA work is 1/5th of the square footage, you write off 1/5th of house payment, taxes, electric, gas, all that type of thing.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Aromatouch Teleconference recording on Build doTerra

I right click on the "download information sheet" and click open in new window. Then I copy and save it to a word document, clean it up from the transfer and save it that way. Works rather well!

I have put the calls on my husband's ipod and was kinda glad he had to leave town before I returned last week with his ipod. I've been able to listen to the calls in the car. Wow! I forgot half the things I've heard before! Listen again and again!

[Everything doTERRA] Copper Poisoning

I have a friend who had a root canal done about 6 years ago and the dentist filled it in with copper.  She has had numerous health problems including being unable to get pregnant because of the copper leeching into her system.  Once they found it, they removed it.  The doctors told her it would take several years for her body to finally rid itself completely from the copper.  Are there oils that will help her body detox from this copper poisoning quicker and are there oils she can use to "jumpstart" her reproductive system again, as it has essentially tried to go into menopause early.

Thanks,

Sunnie

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Business/Tax Write Off Question

Linda, thank you so much for that info. I do have a question on how to claim oils used for classes. Is there a way to write those off?

Hi, I work at H&R Block and we love to help people with their Schedule C's!  A Schedule C is your 'Profit or Loss from Business" form that is used by any sole proprietor.  You don't need to have a special tax id (EIN) you can use your SSN.  This form is just another form that flows to your 1040.  Basically the IRS says you can deduct any expenses that are "ordinary and necessary".  Their publication 334 states: "You can deduct the costs of operating your business. These costs are known as business expenses. These are costs you do not have to capitalize or include in the cost of goods sold but can deduct in the current year. To be deductible, a business expense must be both ordinary and necessary. An ordinary expense is one that is common and accepted in your field of business. A necessary expense is one that is helpful and appropriate for your business. An expense does not have to be indispensable to be considered necessary."  So set up a place to hold all of your receipts.  Write things down in a calendar (meetings) so you can deduct the mileage.  You've got to have a paper trail in case the IRS ever questions (examines or audits) your return.  And keep your tax returns (and supporting documents) for at least 10 years!  Good luck, and give your local H&R Block a try.

[Everything doTERRA] Sore Muscles in Back?

I have horrible low back pain& recently I have found that if I apply either Birch or Wintergreen and then Aromatouch oil it REALLY helps me a LOT. Its like I have taken a pain pill+ muscle relaxer:) The last time it was really bad I only had to do this 2x/day...once in morning &again@ night before bed. I was shocked that the oil treatment lasted so long between applications.

If you think your pain is more in the bone& not in the muscle Wintergreen is really good for bone pain...you might also try clove if Wintergreen or any of the others listed don't seem to work. Don't give up though b/c sometimes it just takes experimenting before you find the right combo for you:)

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Possible Strep Throat in 4 month preggo

I had the strep throat last year and it was not fun! I put 5 drops onguard and 5 drops oregano in capsule and took it every 20 mins on the first day (after seeing a doctor and he confirmed it was strep). also did onguard and oregano on bottom of feet every 20 mins too (with socks) then next day, sore throat was gone...but continued the capsule every hour or every 2 hours for 3 or 4 more days (including feet).--and that was from my upline (recipe)

For pain: Lemon in a tablespoon of raw honey.

For Infection: Take Oregano Internally (In a capsule) Onguard on back of throat (try not to gag yourself :) )

Also, this is what I did since we didn't have Oregano. I upped my Vitamin C and upped my Vitamin D3s (Nature's Sunshine is a great brand) and take the full recommended dosage of PB Assist+. I did this for three days and it cleared it up. I discovered the Vitamin C and D3 by accident when I was pregnant and started getting a sore throat. I don't know why, I just decided to take more than the recommended amount of Vitamin C and D3 that morning and by the afternoon it was gone. I did this for a few days just to be sure. I later learned that upping these vitamins helps fight off infections and can get rid of a sore throat/strep really quickly.

A couple weeks ago I started to get an infection from some other health problems and did this same protocol and added the PB Assist+ to it. Worked great!

If you post, please say where you're coming from too!! As for my wife and I, we live in the Ogden area, so not a great distance. But we're so excited!

These costs are known as business expenses. These are costs you do not have to capitalize or include in the cost of goods sold but can deduct in the current year.

This is our first venture with setting up a business, and don't know much about the legalities. We do have a CPA we can contact, but thought we might get some "Free" advice here first! :)
Thanks in advanced!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Vericose Veins

I have not heard of cypress working very well for veins, but I do know that Helichrysum works very well.

[Everything doTERRA] Where to start, many health issues

I'm hoping all of you wonderful people can help me with suggestions.
I am working with someone who would like to try doTERRA for many
health issues. To start this person has had reoccurring hives over
the years, sometimes lasting for months then disappearing for long
periods of time, no link ever found between food or environment.
Recently got off of steriods but still dealing with hives. On
medication for thyroid, not sure which type. Had gallbladder out
several year ago and has diarrhea 30 minutes after a meal. Issues
with psoriasis as well. I was considering Gx/PB cleanse for 3 months,
LLV, Lavender for topical relief of hives. Other suggestions? I
don't want to put this person into detox. Thank you all!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Business/Tax Write Off Question

You do not need an LLC to take advantage of the tax benefits of running this as a business. How you file your business income and deductions will differ from state to state and I would recommend a quick conversation with whoever does your taxes (it shouldn't cost you anything) as to how to keep records and what to file. Mostly what you will end up doing is keeping track of any expenses and mileage that is business related and those deductions will go into your taxes at the end of the year along with the income. I have run my own small business in the service industry for the last 6 years and have a firm grasp of accounting and I will not touch the business taxes. It really pays to have someone else do them, trust me. The laws and rules change every year and it would be terribly time consuming to keep up with all of that yourself. Hope this helps!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Skin Tags

@Rita R
Yes it does get warm but only for about 5-10 min.  If you let air circulate it will stop the warm sensation. I have a large brown spot around the tag itself.  So no I don't get any redness or discharge from it. When I started it was almost 1/4 inch in diam. and 1/8 inch high. So it was quite large, it is still that large but has gone down in hieght and the hanging part is gone. So now it is just flat and raised a little. I think patience is the key here. I will keep you informed.
Thank you
Cindy

Isn't it painful using the Oregano neat?  I was using that at first also and tried to be very careful that I only put a dab of O right on the skin tag.  It got red all around it, and sometimes would weep a gooey mess.  I quit using it when I was warned against it.  Keep us informed of your progress and good luck.

I have a large on under my breast, right where my bra sits, I have been using oregano straight on it for about four months now and it is just starting to shrink. I figured it would take a long time to go away because of the size of it and how long I have had it. But am very happy with the results.

Just wanted to let people know that sometimes it takes a while for them to shrink.
