[Everything doTERRA] Re: Post partum depression

Having just been through post partum depression recently, I would highly agree with those who have posted that sleep is KEY.  She needs to get enough rest, and she needs to feel highly supported.  She needs someone to help take care of the kids, housework, whatever she needs.  If someone else could feed the baby for one feeding at night, she could get a little extra rest.  If she's totally against formula for this feeding, she could always pump just one bottle.  Elevation and Balance didn't seem to work well for me either, but I had more success with Solace.  Oddly enough, what really seemed to help was a mixture of lemongrass and peppermint -- in the diffuser or inhaled while using them for cleaning.  I'm not sure why.  Everyone is different though; she may just have to experiment a little to see what helps her.  Also, she needs someone she can talk to at any time of the day or night -- especially if she is having suicidal feelings.  I hope she feels better soon!

My best friend just had her 3rd baby three months ago... She's been
having a Really hard time with things.
She has some pretty bad days and says it scares her because she gets
suicidal feelings and yells at her kids and breaks down crying.  This
is NOT her... she's such a fun and happy person and I've never seen
her like this in all the years we've been friends.  She's pretty sure
that it's her hormones.  I've given her Balance and Elevation to help
her out... she says most days she's fine but when it hits, it seems
like these oils don't help as much as she needs.  What other oils
should I suggest?  She's breastfeeding and doesn't want to go to the
doctor for this for fear that they will suggest a prescription...
she's not one that wants to be dependant on a drug.  I love this girl
so much and want to help her.
Any suggestions would be Awesome :)

Thanks!
