Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Anxiety

Great post Rochelle! I recently helped someone get off anxiety meds.  He didn't use the oils as much as I would have liked though so I can't help there.  All I have to add for this woman is DON'T TAKE THE MEDS!!!! You will regret it. The side effects are awful and they are very difficult to get off to put it mildly.  It's rather horrific actually that these kinds of pills are on the market and that they are so easy to get.  So many people commit suicide and also crimes that are out of character and don't even remember. There's a documentary about it.  I think it's Prescription for Disaster.

I like Basil best for stress and Elevation is nice too.  I hung that Terracotta decoration that came with the White Fir in Dec in my car and it helps to de-stress me while driving.

Clary Sage makes me wired. We really need to muscle test or experiment. Solace may be helpful too but as always I would suggest starting with a cleanse too since the liver is stressed when we are.

Okay - first, there is no magic anxiety oil...

A couple of things:

1) it really depends on what's at the root of the anxiety.  Here are
some examples from the Laura Jacobs handout:
    Balance - grouding
    Basil - clear overwhelm
    Bergomot - confidence
    Clary Sage - courage
    Geranium - heart
    Helichrysum - relive anger
    Lavender - courage
    Margoram - trust
    Melissa - joy
    Roman Chamomile - sleep
    Serenity - quiet mind
    White Fir - confidence
    Ylang Ylang - calm heart
2) I use, and know of several others who use, the Peaceful Child Blend
for anxiety.
3) possible reading to help - the new book by Daniel MacDonald -
Emotional Healing with Essential Oils - available on aromatools.

I am currently working with a teenage young lady who has suffered
severe sexual trauma in her preteen years and I can tell you Lavender
has been her lifesaver - literally!!  She is typically hospitalized
3-4 times per year for schizonphrenic-type episode and suicidal
tendancy - especially through the anniversary date of the trauma.
This year she has passed through that difficult time and is living the
most normal teenage years she ever dreamed of living - all because of
doTERRA Lavender!!  It goes with her everywhere and anytime she has
any type of physical trigger or feels an emotional pull, she applies
and smells her Lavender.  She is retraining her emotional cell dna
with the Lavender - watch Laura Jacobs

Remember, it's a process to discover what is the right oil for each
individual...
