There are special supplements from a Canadian company called Truehope that you may want to look into. They are specifically for bipolar and severe brain issues.  People with these issues burn up certain nutrients in massive amounts.  While taking those supplements you can also work on other things to get to the cause of why it is happening but that will at least eliminate the "need" for medication almost always.

And definitely eliminating sugar is crucial!  Probably wheat and dairy too and all chemical additives. Stick to organic food.  Allergy testing would be a good idea.  Some people get allergic reactions like a stuffy nose or coughing and others will get the effect in the brain.  Far too many people are labeled with diseases when in reality may be just an allergy or a chemical or toxic reaction (food, meds, vaccines, airborne pollutants, etc).

Definitely try the Peaceful Child or get a Zyto scan if possible too.
