Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Tourettes and Insomnia

Thank you, Anne and Emily.    I'm finding that for me, aromatherapy works better than anything...besides the LLV.  That has made a big difference in just my general well-being.   When I wasn't falling asleep last night, I really doused my hands, wrists, arms with lavender and balance.   Breathing that in is the last thing I remember.   Funny how some things work better for some and different things for others.  Kinda like when I had a lot of pain from a car accident...several chiropractors did their 'cracking', which only seemed to make things worse.  When I finally found one who tried 'energy' work, it made all the difference.

Our bodies are amazing, and it's wonderful to have resources and friends who are willing to help us find the best cures for our dis-eases.

Family just arrived...gotta run!  Blackeyed peas are on!

Hi Carly,
I don't use Klonipin for tics; but I do use it for anxiety, and
sometimes sleep.  I have found it is one of those pharmaceuticals that
your body gets used to over time... that may be one of the reasons
you're finding it harder to get relief.
I found that the "Balance" blend, Serenity, and the "Past Tense"
blend are my  best friends instead of klonipin... I've been with
doTerra for about 8 weeks and am down from using Klonipin (1mg) 3x day
+ one for sleep to only occassionally using some for sleep. (I'm also
on LLV which has majorly helped stabilize my  mood!)
I use the Balance on my heart area (chakra if you're into those,
or just over the actual heart)daily, as well as at bedtime over the
temples, on the wrists and bottoms of feet.  Followed on feet and
wrists with Serenity (just Lavendar wasn't enough) -- I also will use
Past Tense on the back of my neck/base of my skull during the day if I
feel like life issues are sneaking in to create anxiety...

I hope you find some of these ideas helpful -- remember that
unlike pharms, oils can take a few applications before you feel the
relief...
You might want to think of a personal diffuser necklace (I think I
got my daughter's from aromatools.com) to wear for "constant" anxiety
relief to help with the randomness of tics...

I grew up with family friends -twin girls- who have tourettes,
they have been lucky enough that their symptoms have diminished with
age; but I know first hand the frustrations you have with dealing with
them...

best,
anne
