Its great that so many people have different ideas, we all appreciate the input. One on the reasons I use Fractionated Coconut Oil is its anti bacterial components. And I l love having between 1-2 tbsp for pulling, to me it feels more substantial. And anytime you pull or use the oils for swishing or pulling you are getting the germs in whatever you are doing and should eliminate them when finishing.
As you can see its a personal thing so do what is comfortable and sensible when taking care of your mouth health.

personally, i do my essential oils separately from oil pulling. that
way i can swallow them (you can't swallow the oil you pull with).
also I have been oil pulling for years..waaay before I knew about
essential oils.  and I oil pull for a full 20 minutes and just a tsp
of oil 2 tb would be a lot for me.  So there are some options.
