It sounds as if it has been going on for a period of time and is out of control if it has
gone through the first layer of skin.
You can use the oils on dogs in small amounts, but to try to cover the whole area of
a dog could be difficult.
I would put a small amount of lavender and melaleuca in a spray bottle with the same
amount of carrier oil and then some water. Put a spray nozzle on the 15ml glass bottle
(you could use an empty oil bottle) and spray the area that looks the worst.
A good way to know if this will work is to open the bottles that you intend to use and see
if the dog will come to you. If the dog will come to you with the opened bottles in your hand
then chances are good that oil will work. If the dog will not come near you with the open
bottles, then you should not use that oil on the dog. Its a way of muscle testing the animal
Hope this helps,
Pat
