my son got a cold around 2 weeks old. I didn't feel comfortable putting much on him so what i did was put it on my chest before he would nurse. so he'd get it inhaled. I did put it on his feet WAY diluted. and saline rinses for the nose for babies helps loosen up the junk before i sucked. i don't remember it being bad at all so it must have helped.
