Re: [Everything doTERRA] Congested 6 week old baby

My friends daughter was diagnosed with RSV at 2 months old, and we put basil and onguard on her feet with Olive oil since we didn't have any fractionated coconut oil at the time.  We also used the olive oil and put onguard and breathe on her chest and back.  I would use the FCO if you have it though.  She started breathing better within a few hours, and the mother kept applying every few hours.  Just be careful of skin irritation on one so young.  I think we only used one or two drops when putting it on her chest and back and a quarter size of FCO with it.  She continued to get better and never wound up in the hospital like the doctor said she would.  Hope this helps.  Michelle

My little girl is 6 weeks old and the past couple of days she's been getting congested.  I've suctioned out her nose as often as I can, but the last day I can't seem to get anyhing out as the mucus seems to be deeper so she coughs to get it up (but none usually comes up).  I've been putting breath on her (diluted) on the bottom of her feet and I've also been diffusing OnGuard and I've had a humidifier going.  Any other thoughts?  I'm sure there have been posts on this same topic, but because she's so young, I'd like to hear some direct recommendations..  Thanks!  Maria.
