Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Wintergreen oil

Checking PDR on-line,it has only one interaction detail about blood thinners (warfarin and Coumadin) and wintergreen or MS.  That is to "monitor possible potentiation" using the two together.  To me, this means to watch that the use doesn't make the thinner too or overly effective. Much like some grapefruit constituents do.  It is by no means a stern warning against the interaction of the two, rather, monitor, to me means that potentiation has been suspected in the past, so if you are concerned, monitor the situation.

If it were me on thinners, I would use Wintergreen and Birch with moderation, and for short time periods.

Hi Rob...Thanks for your reply. I do like to use Wintergreen so I took
your advice and did some more searches. I Googled Wintergreen oil and
Warfrin and there is so much info on contra indications for using
these together even in small doses topically...Confused... Its not
that I am worried so much about myself but I have recommended using it
to quite a few people...Any thoughts on this???
