are nursing, stay away from peppermint oil. I was nursing and using
slim and sassy, after calling and finding out that it is indeed ok for
nursing mothers and it wouldn't hurt my baby. But, what I didn't know
is that peppermint will dry up your milk supply in a hurry! I was
unaware of this and found out the hard way. I was totally unprepared
to wean my daughter but had to since I had nothing left. The quality
and quantity decreased drastically. To a point that it was no longer
nutritionally healthy for her. Unfortunately I had to put her on
formula. I didn't have time to slowly introduce it to her since I
dried up so quickly. Her stomach didn't like that! So, do NOT use
peppermint oil while nursing!
