I had one of my cats (she is 25 lbs) get bit by a black widow on her front paw. Her paw and half her leg was triple to quaduple the size - I put a drop of OnGuard in my palm and took her paw and rubbed it across my palm, did this several times the first day and the second day her paw was almost normal, did it several more times the second day and she was back to normal.
Not sure what other oils I could have or should have used but I didn't too many to choose from at the time and On Guard worked great!
