I too have an adopted daughter with a history of trauma, although def not as severe as what you are describing. I will tell you what i have found to be helpful.
If there is any one who can give the girl aroma touch treatments on a regular basis that would be great. Even better if mom can do it for bonding. If the child can't tolerate lying still that long (my kids hate it) symphony of the cells is much quicker and really great also. You can buy the book that tells you how at aromatools.com.
Juniper berry is a great one for fear and especially night time fear. Although if bed wetting is a problem it MAY make it worse.
I would use the PTSD blend as mentioned and/or the peaceful child blend. Also consider the mood matrix. It's going to take some experimentation.
Last, the biggest help I have found for my daughter is Sandalwood. When I can see my daughter is ramping up to have a rage (like a meltdown) I hurry and apply it with balance on her her spine and it usually stops it in its tracks, literally. Her rages used to last for an hour and we just had to ride it out. Now, even if i don't catch it right away, it is greatly shortened in length and severity if I use the Sandalwood.
Good luck!
