Not sure how helpful this will be, but my eldest had to have a baby tooth extracted recently (I know, what?? Root didn't reabsorb and adult tooth was fully emerged behind it), we had our dentist pull it.
I put a drop of clove eo a few times on a qtip and held it against her gum to numb it. We got to the appointment early so we'd have plenty of time to be sure she was NUMB. The dentist quickly extracted it and, as I had brought helichrysum for after, he asked me to put some on the gauze and he applied pressure for the bleeding to stop. Within 5 minutes she was done, had her rinse with water with a drop of heli and except for the first swish she spit all clear :)
When we got home I had her gently swish a few times with heli, and also applied a drop (with a dropper) of frankincense on the gum where the tooth was pulled.
