[Everything doTERRA] lavender and tea tree oil mimic estrogen?

Yes, it is true. There are young children who bathed in lavender bath and lavender lotion that developed breasts. There are also people who develop problems using Teatree oil based shampoos and conditioners and there was one guy I knew who developed man breasts that went away when he stopped using it. There are many articles and studies that are well done on this as well as people who can testify that it definitely did affect their hormones.

The properties are in the plant/oil itself and have nothing to do with any possible contaminants. This is not unusual because there are many herbs that have hormonal properties. I prefer not to take the chance of using something regularly I'm myself or others that I know might affect hormone levels.

Of course, as with everything else, some people may be more susceptible than others or have greater or lesser effects hormonally.

It's wise to understand all the possible actions of any substance we used topically or internally so that we can be alert for any changes that are concerning
