[Everything doTERRA] Re: Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid (MMP) auto-immune disease

Pat, thank you. I have finally gotten my mom to try oil pulling. She's done it a few times with just the coconut oil to see if she could even do it. She is now willing to try an oil. I had melaleuca on hand and that is what I have left with her to use until I can get the others. 

She was able to get an old fashion teaspoon of CO in her mouth. (She can't open very far and can't get much in unless she opens wide and then that causes instant blisters because of the immune disease.)

I will keep you posted!!  I'm very hopeful just because she is willing to try. THAT'S a huge plus right now.

She has had this for several years. It is now beginning to slowly affect her sight and they have told her it is possible that at some point she could lose her sight.

The inside of her mouth blisters. When the blisters pop the skin literally peels away and does not grow back or heal. The blister could be caused at any time by something she eats, drinks and sometimes the medication she takes. She does a topical steroid inside her mouth, a steroid rinse, 3000mg Cellcept (daily) and Methotrexate (not sure of dosage) weekly. These are all very strong drugs.

Because this is so rare and it has attacked her mouth, she does have to have her teeth cleaned every 3 months. They numb her in order to do so and can only clean 1/2 her mouth one day and she goes back the next day to be numbed to do the other 1/2. When the metal instruments touch the inside of her mouth she instantly blisters. They are a very painful couple days for her. However, even with that being done she is diligent about brushing and flossing. 

I have personally begun oil pulling and wonder if this is something that could help benefit her...even if it causes her to blister. I pull with On guard. Any suggestions as to what she might use?

I curious if anyone else has dealt with this auto immune disease and suggestions as to what she might be able to attempt. 

I'm VERY new to oils and hungry to learn all I can to help my loved ones.
