It would be interesting to experiment with oils and bees.  I know that one time I was outside pouring some cement and I had oils on.  Lemongrass on my hands, Lemon, lavender, peppermint on my neck and nose for sinus and allergy issues, and I believe frankincense on the back of my neck. There were bees that would not leave me alone!  There were others in my area but they were only bothering me!  They weren't stinging, once I got used (mentally) to them buzzing me, I was ok.  But for a bit it was freaky.

Rub a few drops on some 2x4 blocks and set them out by a hive and see what happens.  I'm sure some would repel, some would attract.

And lastly, are there any oils that will help to calm bees? Our bees have become somewhat aggressive and even when I am not near the hives seem to attack my head. I either need to figure out how to calm them or repel them!
