I counted calories for years, and at best, on 1500 calories a day, I could not lose more than 1/2 pound a month, but if I "fell off the wagon" the weight plus more was right back overnight! And, like you said, the excess is all packed on right around my middle. I started LLV almost a year ago and stopped all my other supplements. My blood tests are all positive. I didn't start really losing weight until I started detoxing about six months ago--GX and PB, lemon in water. I dropped 10 to 15 pounds over a 2 to 3 week period. The last place you lose fat is the abdomen, where all the waste is stored.
At the moment my blood sugar is normal, I am within 6 pounds of my normal pre-marriage weight (that was 58 years ago), I have been able to stop the prescription meds I was taking. I am still having some withdrawal from lorazepam (Ativan)--weakness, tiredness, upper back pain--BUT I am able to fall asleep at night and stay asleep. If I wake up for a bathroom stop, I go right back to sleep. This was a huge problem for me. I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel.
It's really, really hard to exercise when you are not feeling well.
