[Everything doTERRA] Bursitis, Tendonitis, Meniscus Tear?

Hi everyone – I hope you are having a very Merry Christmas Season!

I have a question to see if anyone has had experience with this.   My 15 year old Volleyball player has developed what we think may be bursitis in both of her knees.  We took her to our Chiropractor friend who’s daughter also had this condition years ago (from Volleyball), and he also thought it could be Tendonitis as well.  We’ve ruled out a torn Meniscus just because he said that it would usually only happen in one knee – but we aren’t sure.  She is in a lot of pain, and can barely walk.  It hurts to sit in class at school sometimes.

We are using a lot of oils on her – and we will be taking her to a physical therapist friend of ours on Thursday to get a better idea how long this may take, and what else to do.  She was supposed to start Club Volleyball, but that is looking like a no-go at this time.  She is so sad, because VB is her life – but she also knows that she has to look to the future.

I had bursitis in my hip last year and it was only the oils that helped me.  I just thought I’d check and see if anyone had other experience with this.  It is very painful, and takes a long time to heal from what I’ve read so far.  The one doctor I called just wanted to give her cortisone shots in her knees!  I just don’t feel comfortable with that at her age – or their other suggestion was to take 12 ibuprofen a day.  :-/ ughhh!
