I had vertigo for a few days, but it's not something I've dealt with before that. I applied ginger behind my ear and also alternated 1drop frankincense and 1 drop sandalwood under my tongue.

    Melanie <msdoterra@gmail.com> Apr 24 01:45PM -0700

Vertigo is very tricky. One factor in treating it is pinpointing the root cause. For many people it is an inner ear problem relating to an infection or the formation of tiny crystals. In that case, using melaleuca or another recommended oil to treat the infection can really help along with ginger and sandalwood for the nausea.

My mother gets vertigo frequently, but in her case it is due to misalignment in the spine. In that case, a chiropractor is the only way to cure the vertigo. She does still use ginger for the nausea and I put Deep Blue on her spine to help relieve any swelling and pain.

Have you found out what is causing the Vertigo? Everyone on this forum is
probably tired of hearing from me about vertigo and nausea, I have had it
for 50 years and had neuro-surgery 3 years ago. This is the reason that I
started doTerra. If you can narrow down the cause, I can give you
suggestions. However, first of all start LLV and DDR.

You are doing the right thing. I did that for my yprkies last year but added one drop of Frankie to my hand and rubbed it on my dogs. A little goes a long way.

Has anyone used essential oils to heal a skin infection? I have applied
Melaleuca and Lavender directly on the area on my dogs back. He seemed to
like it. His skin is very irritated and itchy. I know if I take him to
the vet they will give him a steroid and antibiotic and I would rather use
essential oils on him to heal him. I also added a drop of lemon to his
water as I read another post under pet care that said it helped to heal
their dogs bumps from an infection.

I would love any recommendation to heal my four legged family member.

They've tested for bladder infection and several other bladder-related
issues and has come out negative for everything they've tried. She doesn't
hurt when she goes anymore, she just has to go all the time.

Before I workout, I like to dab a little Wild Orange or Elevation to my neck, chest & wrists to give me a little boost :)
Last Saturday, without even thinking about it, I put some on right before my 5K Mud run. I was outside for a few hours counting the time before and after and took a really hot shower when I got home. I wear my hair down and went about my day, as well as my Sabbath. But when I got home from church and pulled my hair up my husband pointed out two terrible burns on both sides of my neck.
Now, quite a few days later, it still looks just as bad and the itching is driving me crazy. I've put a little bit of aloe vera from my plant on it but it only helped for a minute. I'm almost afraid to put an oil on it since it's an oil burn.
    Any suggestions???

All of the citrus oils say to avoid direct sunlight after applying because
it can make your skin more sensitive. I suspect that's what happened.
Have you ever applied these oils to the same place, not gone in the sun,
and not gotten a burn? I would avoid direct sun to areas you have applied
citrus oils for at least 24 hours (that's pretty conservative). Or your
skin could just be very sensitive to the citrus oils. Try diluting them
next time. Lavender is wonderful for burns but I would dilute it with
coconut oil or aloe until it's more healed.

My friend's neighbor has been experiencing unexplained upper abdominal pain
and weight loss and has some minor inflammation in his stomach lining that
they can't find a cause for. Does anyone have any suggestions for use of
Frankincense or any other EO or EO blend?

    Sally Lanza <lanzalifesolutions@gmail.com> Apr 24 03:18PM -0400

I was just reading that gastritis is the inflammation of the stomach
lining. This can be a symptom of candida as listed on the website Dr Sue
lawton recommends going to called www.candida.com. There is a list of many
symptoms and conditions caused by overgrowth of candida albicans. (There is
also a good tear sheet on www.aromatools.com that lists a bunch of
    symptoms.)

If there are other symptoms that are present in this man, it may be wise to
    follow the candida cleanse protocol.

Hope this helps lead you in the right direction.

He should use litmus paper from Whole Foods to see what his acid to alkaline ratio is. If high in acid then you can eat foods to balance ratio. He may try Digestzen EO and there is info on doTerras site for digestive issues. Also apple cider vinegar helps with stomachs that have acid reflux.

Six months post Proton Radiation Therapy, my face inflames on occasion, it
will be clear as bell, one day, then wake up the next morning and it will
be swollen and red, irritated, burning sensation, I use Aquaphor on the
skin and it is gone within 24-48 hours. Any suggestions on what is causing
this, and any suggestions on oils to use would be appreciated.

I am looking for someone who has had success in the weed control area,
specifically dandelions. I am using an organic lawn care company, who just
told me that for weed control to really work, they need to use something
not-so organic (and I am thinking, not-so healthy). Does anyone have
suggestions, perhaps some oils I can spray directly onto the weed?

    Carolyn Nelson <eojunkie@gmail.com> Apr 24 08:20AM -0600

I made and sprayed this yesterday, and the dandelions were shriveling
    before sundown:

    1/2 gallon apple cider vinegar
    1/4 cup table salt
    1/2 tsp. dawn dish soap

    amazing.

    Brenda Lakanen <brc53mt@yahoo.com> Apr 24 07:21AM -0700

You can try pouring a strong concentration of boiled salted water
(cooled). There are probably other options that someone will come up with,
but I know that will kill many kinds of weeds.

If they haven't been sprayed an option you may not want but is good to
know... Dandelions are edible and pretty good. But if you want them gone,
i like what the last two people have said. :) Emily

I have an IPC that her eyes weep all the time, She is now on LLV and has
been on allergy oils to no avail. Any Suggestions?
    Thanks

I would suggest lavender or Immortelle around the eye bone, as needed.
