Re: [Everything doTERRA] Husband - wife team

I am not sure why you are surprised that an employee's wife can be an IPC and how do you think they would have an advantage? She would still need to find and enroll her own people, they don't walk in the door at doTerra. She would also need to build her own business. I see no problem with this concern.
I realize that this is sticky but if they enrolled and are builders before they married then doTerra can do nothing about that.

The day that I see doTerra losing their integrity is the day I retire (again). And as long as our corporate members stay the same this will not happen.

Surely they cannot allow the married couple to continue as two IPCs? If they don't join the two together, it contradicts the whole policy which denies other married couples from joining below the other spouse.

On a related issue, I know a high up doTERRA 'staff' member who whilst being employed at a high level, and has all the information before general release.. has a spouse who is an IPC.

The problem there is that the spouse IPC has a huge advantage over other IPCs in that geographical area.  I'm surprised this is permitted.

I am so sorry for the bad info you received in regards to this. It is not unusual for network marketing companies to have this policy. It prevents double dipping.

I have a leader who enrolled her boyfriend and a year later they married, so far there have been no problems. I also have a couple who divorced and he enrolled under her so he could get his own oils, that is not a problem since they are no longer husband and wife.

Im very disappointed someone in my upline say it is ok to have husband or wife sign up under their other spouse as a separate income. Later, now doterra says it is not allowed. We should be reading everything before listen to the upline so I cannot blame on whoever since it s my responsibility to read the policies in first place. I know we have upline support. However, what is the solution to ensure it won't happen again? Though, I encouraged downline to read policies etc. not rely on upline for information. However, it may have been my habit to rely on the upline. It seem standard to rely on the upline.

What about who got divorced and wants income of their own and sign up under their ex spouse?
