Yes. I've used peppermint as well to get rid of ants coming through my front door. I just put a couple of drops at the door and I haven't seen ants in 5 months! Also to keep those little roley polies out of the basement I wash the concrete floor with onguard concentrate soap with hot water. I've seen very few of them in the basement now!
